Some Updates
Here to announce further delays to Chicama part 3. There are a few reasons, all of them good:
I am on a strike mission in Northern Peru that has been delaying progress. We’re surfing a solid west swell that’s hitting the region between Mancora and Lobitos very nicely. We’ve been all over but the region around Cabo Blanco was a particular favorite. Cabo Blanco is an old fishing town known for record breaking tuna, marlin and 3 shallow, rocky and barreling lefts. Hemingway spent some time there. I think he came for the fish rather than the waves but I don’t want to make assumptions.
I had a very exciting surf journalism opportunity pop up. I spent the last week preparing, had the interview this morning and will begin on the profile today. I’m psyched and can’t wait to share it when it’s done.
This is my last week in Peru. Sad this is coming to the end but can’t wait to be home for a bit. I will most definitely be back.
Life is moving fast, fluid and I really couldn’t be happier. We’ll see where this all goes but stay tuned because there is a lot more to come as we close out the (only Peruvian) South American Tour and beyond.
Thanks for being a part of my journey so far. I’m very grateful. And in the meantime enjoy these photos from the past few weeks!
Take care,
TD
